Test run out at PFI Extreme Cadets

After a weekend break a last minute decision to visit the PFI Extreme Cadet October meeting.

A few of the front runners have been putting in respectable times and the championship leader has been making the podium at msa meetings so could be interesting but the main reason for going is to get back into the swing of things after an albeit short break.

No Saturday testing left Dude with a 10 minute practice session before TQ. Things looked OK setting 3rd quickest time so a couple of changes before TQ and off we went.

TQ ended up 2nd which was good and onto the heats.

Heat 1 came round very quickly and with only 15 minutes between TQ and being called to the grid meant a lot of work but done and on the grid. A good start and long races meant just keep putting good laps in which Lucas did and ended up pushing away with the championship leader to take a win.

Heat 2 started pole from the heat 1 win and more of the same with another win.

Heat 3 the pair pushed away to come over the line 2nd which gave us pole in the final.

Another quick turn around and Lucas was on the grid waiting for the light to start the 20 minute race. Lights out and Dude nailed the 1st two laps stretching nearly 1 second lead but the chasing pack slowly reeled him in on the 8th lap. Now he had company Dude worked with the P2 driver and started to push away from the other 5 drivers in the pack.

Fast forward to the last few laps and on the last lap the p2 driver decided to go for the lead when Lucas defended into hairpin 1 and went to the outside. Lucas held him parallel and took his line through and got good driver out to hairpin 2 and through and a lengths lead which he held to the flag taking the win.....that's 2 on the bounce now......hopefully he will carry the momentum to TVKC in a couple of weeks and seal the deal there....
