On Lucas' first meeting he put in a strong performance and showed that he not only had a passion for driving but had a single focus.......to win. He drove as hard as he could and finished in second place posting personal best times in every race throughout the day. Although this was way in excess of our expectations he was not overly happy that he did not take the top step, but it turned out he did not have long to wait.



Having joined the Championship late in the year (June) we had a steep learning curve but the mid season meetings proved to only confirm Lucas' drive and commitment. Outside the frenzy of race day we pounded many laps around the circuits working to refine the kart setup, concentrate on lines, technique and race-craft. With the help of a dedicated team Lucas was gradually lowering his lap times and improving his skills.

Throughout the following meetings Lucas was focussed and always pushing hard from the start. His drive resulted in him not only improving in every race but finishing every meeting scoring the most points in the class and producing the following results:-
